Our History

HoloMathics is an R&D studio and consulting practice where academic and industry experts collaborate on hypergraphical data modeling, agentic AI, and quantum-inspired methods. We focus on turning rigorous math into working systems.

Founded in December 2005 by Mirco A. Mannucci, Ph.D., HoloMathics began with the study of holosystems—systems whose behavior cannot be reduced to the sum of their parts—especially in social and knowledge networks.

Mission

“Holo-Mathics” joins the Greek holos (whole) and mathesis (learning): learning the whole.

HoloMathics = Math of holosystems

A holosystem is any system where meaning emerges from interactions: human organizations, protein networks, the web, financial markets, and beyond. Reductionist models miss these higher-order relations; we model them directly using category theory, topology, hypergraphs, and statistical learning.

What this means for clients: clearer maps of complex domains, robust decision support, and deployable tools (graphs & hypergraphs, agent pipelines, Azure/AWS implementations). As the saying goes, the map is not the territory, but without a good map one is lost—we build the maps.
